CIWM (WAMITAB) Level 1-2 – Cleaning

EWS offers a range of Cleaning qualifications (Levels 1-2) which can be delivered on the job, or through knowledge based practical training programmes which are classroom based. This provides routes to industry employability programmes and resources to those working within, or retraining to work within, the facilities management sector.

CIWM (WAMITAB) Certificate in Cleaning and Support Service – Level 2

This qualification offers meaningful benefits to the cleaning workforce, serving as a gateway to career advancement and further education. It helps build employee confidence while affirming the value and relevance of their skills.

This award is also an accepted qualification by CITB for those who are required to hold a CSCS blue card – Skilled Worker.


CIWM (WAMITAB) Award / Certificate in Cleaning Principle – Level 2

This level is ideal for staff who work within the industry, where you wish for them to be recognised for the skills and knowledge they have gained. Some of these qualifications can also attract funding through the Adult Education Budget.


CIWM (WAMITAB) Practical Cleaning Skills – Level 1

These qualifications are ideal for the unemployed, inexperienced staff and those in rehabilitation facilities or for those wishing to gain basic skills and knowledge to gain employment. Understanding Cleaning Qualifications

These Cleaning qualifications (Levels 1-2) are designed to support individuals entering or progressing within the cleaning and support services industry, providing practical and relevant skills aligned to workplace requirements.

They cover a wide range of cleaning activities, including specialist areas such as biohazards areas, safe handling of bodily fluids, spillages and hazardous items, and effective methods to dry sweep and damp mop floors, maintain furniture fixture fittings, and buff floor surfaces.
