TCM Cover

If you run a permitted waste site in the UK, you are required to have a Technically Competent Manager (TCM) on hand — it’s a legal requirement from the Environment Agency. This is where TCM cover comes in, often referred to as a COTC holder.

A TCM holder proves that someone is trained, qualified, and competent to oversee the day-to-day operations of your waste site, ensuring it’s run safely, legally, and in line with your permit conditions.

Our sister company EWS Consultancy Services can provide TCM coverage for short- and long-term requirements,  through our network of assessors and associates and able to cover all types of facilities.

They are available whilst:

• Staff are currently finishing their own Level 4 CIWM(WAMITAB) qualification
• Your permit was issued and 12 months grace period has passed
• New Site which requires cover from day 1 of operation
• Cover for holidays or sick leave – short- or long-term provision can be covered
• Just don’t have the capacity in-house
