Level 4 Award Mentoring

Who is this Course Aimed at?

This course is aimed at those who have recently obtained their new waste permit or a change in permit due to new activities and need to achieve their level 4 waste management qualification but need to obtain knowledge of the industry to assist them achieve the qualification.

This course is also aimed at helping learners improve their knowledge across all the main regulatory and legislative requirements of the waste industry for those who have moved into a manager role within their organisation.

Knowledge Training Course

Our one-day course will provide knowledge and understanding of core elements of the waste management qualifications.

Course Content:

Answering assessment criteria – How to meet the requirements of answering underpinning knowledge questions for your award, verbs and understanding of the glossary of words used within the awarding body standards.

Legislation: Health & Safety, Environmental.

General Operational Control: Permit, Planning, Procedures, Plant and equipment, Reporting and recording, Resources, Cost benefit analysis and Energy recovery.

Mentoring Sessions

Mentoring is delivered one-to-one by our highly experienced Assessors, who also act as tutors. They provide targeted support to learners experiencing knowledge gaps, helping them build confidence and progress with clarity.

These mentoring sessions support learners in demonstrating and articulating their understanding of the sector, specifically in relation to the underpinning knowledge assessment criteria within their qualifications. At Level 4, each unit includes assessment components that rely on a solid grasp of sector-specific knowledge, and our tailored support helps learners meet these requirements with confidence.
